Ana Beatriz Ferreira
Described as “a truly superb interpreter” by The Classical Source, Ana Beatriz Ferreira is one of the most recognised Portuguese pianists of her generation. She finished both her Bachelor of Music and Master in Performance degrees at the Royal College of Music, in London.
Ana Beatriz has won several prizes and awards and performed internationally as a soloist and with orchestras.
Important milestones in her career include her solo tour in Canada.
Ana Beatriz is currently doing a PhD in Performance at Cardiff University on a full scholarship. She is also a piano tutor at the Junior Conservatoire of the RWCMD.

Galina Juritz is a composer, producer and violinist currently living and working in London, having spent much of her life in South Africa, a place that she continues to draw from creatively. Since studying violin performance at the University of Cape Town under Prof. Farida Bacharova, she has been working as a writer and performer of music across diverse genres, in collaboration with multiple disciplines.
Galina is currently completing her Master in composition at the Goldsmiths University in London.

Xue Yang Liu
Xue is a cellist based in New York. Her versatility as a performer has propelled her into a career as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral player and teacher. Xue entered the pre-college at the Julliard School at the age of sixteen and completed her Bachelor and Master degrees at the Mannes College of Music. Her talents have brought her performances to such venues as Carnegie, Alice Tully, Avery Fisher, and Merkin Halls, as well as Rose Hall at Jazz at Lincoln Center and Le Poisson Rouge.

Guitar and Ukulele Teacher
Matt has been teaching guitar for over 7 years. Within this time he guided many students through their music grades and inspired students as young as 5 to start playing the guitar.
He is classically trained having studied the classical guitar to Masters Level at the University of Hull.
His teaching style is enthusiastic, communicative and friendly and is always giving feedback to the student and parents.
As well as learning and practicing he encourages his students to perform as well, and host regular online student concerts and masterclasses.

Josh is a guitarist and a versatile performer who also plays bass, keyboards. He is an experienced composer, producer and musician with a broad set of skills. Josh is passionate about teaching and sharing his knowledge, instilling confidence in younger musicians. Josh has completed his Bachelor degree in composition and musical practice with honours in Coventry University and completed a Grade 8 Guitar Trinity Rock and Pop exam with Distinction. Josh performed for prestigious clients such as The Gherkin, Hampton Court Palace, Eltham Palace and The Cutty Sark as well as having performed with Pete Doherty at the Brixton Jam. Joshua has composed four albums and produced two of them.

Matt completed his Music degree at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge in 2015 and have since progressed to be able to teach a variety of age groups, from infant to mature. Matt lessons on the Electric Bass cover beginners to advanced levels and include learning a repertoire of multiple genres, playing techniques, recording, reading bass notation and chord charts, ear training and other musicianship skills and working students up to a professional standard to help them on their way to having a career in music.

Drums, Percussion and Bass Guitar Teacher
Tony Alda is a professional drummer based in London, UK. After building a very successful career as a session musician back in Venezuela, founding the band Okills and performing with several Latin Grammy award-winning acts like La Vida Boheme, Tony was awarded a scholarship to study Contemporary Music Performance in London. Now working as a music teacher, session musician and drummer in his band NOVACUB, his lessons are tailored for each student covering everything from entry-level to more advanced techniques in drums. Also covering subjects that are essential for the working drummer in the current music industry like music content for social media, incorporating electronics and samples into your set up, setting up backing tracks or running a full show through Ableton live.

Welsh Soprano Stephanie Smith studied at the Royal Northern College of Music under the direction of Mary Plazas and graduated with a BMus(Hons) degree in Vocal and Opera Studies. She continued her studies at Postgraduate level at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig, Germany. Stephanie now continues her studies at the Wales International Academy of Voice with Dennis O'Neill CBE. Stephanie has recently been touring with Mid Wales Opera with their production of the Marriage of Figaro and is looking forward to joining Opera de Bauge next year for their summer season. As a keen performer working with singers in all styles of music, she is thrilled to be passing on her knowledge of the Voice to her students. Stephanie has a busy teaching schedule teaching in schools in the South Wales area, as well as having her own roster of private students.

Rebecca is a Soprano from Northern Ireland. She trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland as an Opera Singer, and then at the Northern Ireland Opera Studio. She has performed with many different companies and ensembles in the UK and beyond, including Sestina Ensemble, Genesis Sixteen, Northern Ireland Opera, The Kellie Consort, and Savonlinna Opera Festival.
She is also a passionate Teacher, and currently teaches Primary Musicianship at the National Youth Choir of Scotland. She has taught singing and piano in a number of schools, and also works with choirs of various age groups. Also passionate about Music Outreach, Rebecca is a performer on the Live Music Now scheme

Flute and Recorder Teacher
Alexandra is an award-winning flautist who has performed professionally for over 17 years and enjoys a varied career including orchestra playing, session work for film, studio recordings, small ensemble performance and music for special events. Based in London, she currently performs as the principal flute in the Camden Philharmonia Orchestra, Quintakulah Woodwind Quintet, and St Bartholomew's Orchestra.

Clarinet and Saxophone Teacher
Since graduating from a Masters in Flute Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in 2012, Hayley has been working as a performer and educator. Her performance work has seen her work internationally and at venues including Cadogan Hall, The Barbican Centre and many London theatres. Hayley has also enjoyed performances on stage at On Blackheath, Beautiful Days and Homegrown Festivals. Most recently, Hayley played flute, piccolo and clarinet on the 2020 UK & Ireland Tour of The Sound of Music.
As a versatile educator, Hayley’s work has spanned from Early Years students at Trinity Laban Junior Department and local company Boppin’ Bunnies, to the accomplished teenagers she mentored at Aldeburgh Young Musicians, based at Snape Maltings. Hayley has taught Woodwind at many schools across London and Surrey and enjoys working weekly with her group of private students.

Saxophone and Keyboards Teacher
Tom is a highly accomplished saxophonist with a First Class Hons degree from the Royal Academy of Music in London and has been running his own business in the music events and entertainment industry since 2012. As a lifelong performer, his passion has always been in music and collaborating with others. Teaching and sharing knowledge is at the heart of music and he believes that everyone can enjoy playing music at any level! Tom has worked for many different bands, artists and clients performing and touring at events globally. His performance experience was hugely varied and included playing at corporate events of all sizes, TV appearances in the X-Factor Big Band and various UK and European tours with artists such as The Maccabees, Michael Kiwanuka and Gloria Gaynor.

Angus is a Scottish Bass trombonist studying at the Royal Academy of music. During his time in London, he has won various awards in solo and chamber music. As a soloist, he won the John Solomon Brass Prize and the year before won the Worshipful Company of Musicians Brass Prize with brass dectet, Ibex Brass - he is now a RAM chamber music fellow with Ibex Brass. Other achievements include being a finalist in the International Trombone Association Trombone Competition as well as competing in the final of the Solo Hungarian International Trombone Competition. He was also the winner of the Dublin Brass Week Concerto Competition. Angus has recently begun working on the professional circuit. He is currently on trial with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra whilst also freelancing with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, English National Opera, RTÉ Concert Orchestra and Sinfónica de Galicia.

French Horn and Trumpet Teacher
Tom Bettley graduated from the University of Leeds (BA) and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (PGDip) in London, specialising in Horn and ensemble performance. He studied Horn with Dave Lee, Bob Ashworth and Roger Montgomery. Tom is an experienced solo and orchestral Horn player. He has worked with many professional orchestras in the UK, including the Philharmonia, London Concert Orchestra and Orpheus Sinfonia. Tom has also worked with orchestras and ensembles abroad, such as the RTÉ Symphony Orchestra in Dublin and the Al-Manama Symphony in Bahrain. Other orchestral work has included West End shows such as Les Miserablès, Lion King and Mary Poppins.
Tom is a passionate tutor and currently a Teacher of Brass and Director of the School Brass Ensembles at King's School in Rochester, Kent. He also tutors for the Kent County Youth Orchestra and Kent Youth Wind Orchestra. Tom is also an author of the collection of original tunes called Horn Sight-Reading (2012), part of the comprehensive Sight-Reading series published by Schott and edited by John Kember.

Conductor and Music Theory Teacher
Born in Oxford, Bertie read music at the University of Cambridge, going on to study conducting at the RAM with Sian Edwards and graduating with distinction.
Winner of the Royal Academy of Music’s Sir Henry Wood Scholarship and Ernest Read Prize in 2017, Bertie was the youngest semi-finalist in the London Symphony Orchestra Donatella Flick Conducting Competition in 2018. Between 2016-18 he was Chief Conductor the London Young Sinfonia. He is also a composer, his music having been commissioned by the Royal Philharmonic Society and performed by the Aurora Orchestra, Fretwork and Orchestra of the Royal Opera House. He is currently based in London and Denver.

Composition and Music Production Teacher
Clemens Damerau is an award-winning composer, arranger and music producer, based in London.
He is also an accomplished pianist with numerous achievements in the world of music.
Damerau has performed as a singer and keyboardist playing various music styles including rock, pop and soul band. He has served as the principal pianist of a salsa big band and was an enthusiastic member of the award-winning choir Vivid Voices. His compositions have been performed and recorded by multiple ensembles including the State Orchestra Halle and Ensemble Mosaik. Having once worked at Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) and as a composer, studio pianist and assistant at the recording studio D-Room, he is committed to training the next generation of musicians as a private composition instructor.

Viktoriya Rossini Peneva
Head of Music
After years of performing internationally and gaining valuable experience, Viktoriya is the founder of Blackheath Music Academy. As an educator, Viktoriya is always determined to pass on valuable knowledge and skills to our lucky students.
Viktoriya is a professional pianist and a winner in numerous piano competitions. After completing her undergraduate studies with honours in Italy, Viktoriya, specialized in Mannes College in New York and later in the Royal College of Music in London, where she obtained her Master Degree with distinction. In 2015 Viktoriya began her PhD in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Today, besides being an accomplished pianist, Viktoriya is also a brilliant music researcher within performance practice-based projects, constantly evolving her research tools and methods in ethnomusicology, performance, and improvisation, and working intensively in creating innovative, and effective musical concepts.

Gaston began his professional career as a business manager in Italy and later successfully completed his undergraduate degree in Business and Management at the Open University in London with honours. In 2016 Gaston began exploring the art of photography and today, besides being an accomplished an Operation Manager, Gaston, is currently specializing in photography and graphic design. His portfolio in photography spans in between all styles and his graphic design portfolio is extremely modern with an innovative artistic vision. Gaston's interests include philosophy, music and art.
